Faith leads to hope.
Hope is expectation.
What do you expect from God this year?
- A home?
- A baby?
- Deliverance from bondage?
- Escape from an abusive situation?
In Hebrews 11 (the FAITH chapter), these men and women of faith had hope (expectation) in God.
- Abraham expected a city.
- Sarah expected a child.
- Joseph expected deliverance.
- Rahab expected escape.
Again I ask…what do you expect from God this year?
Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.
I encourage you to take the time to examine your heart.
Examine yourselves, whether ye be in the faith; prove your own selves.
2 Corinthians 13:5
God is wanting us to examine ourselves…to examine our confidence in Him and the plans He has for us.
Here’s the thing.
God puts desires in our hearts…His desires when we ask.
AND His desires are way better than ours.
If you haven’t asked Him to do this, do so today.
When I began to ask God for His will not mine…whew…things began to change and for the better.
What I didn’t want…I now long for.
Here’s what I’m expecting from God this year:
- I’m expecting complete deliverance for me and my family.
- I’m expecting the financial blessings to do what God has commanded us to do.
- I’m expecting our barn and home.
- I’m expecting our child.
These are just a few things…it’s a start.
How about you? I would love for you to share four of your expectations with us!
