I needed more…I just didn’t know what more looked like until the King of Glory entered into my life.

The Lord is strong and mighty…mighty and ready to fight our battles.

Lift up your heads, O ye gates; even lift them up, ye everlasting doors; and the King of glory shall come in.

Psalm 24:9

I spent close to 20 years circling the Lord’s hill…content with keeping Him in a small box, safely tucked away for those rainy days.

I wanted to do things my way and on my own.

I had no desire to meet with my Lord or to hear His voice.

Sure I went to church every time the doors were opened. I heard the sermons. I sang the worship hymns, and at times would be moved to cry.

I was a leader. I served in every children’s ministry that was available. I attended soul winning. I even taught His word…yet, there I was with no intimate relationship with my Father, only His church.

Truth…I was dry bones crawling through the wilderness and didn’t even realize it.

Unfortunately, it wasn’t until the rain turned to dangerous storms that I realized that I was standing in the valley of turmoil…instead of on the hilltop of peace with my Lord.

Who shall ascend into the hill of the Lord? or who shall stand in his holy place?

Psalm 24:3

Who shall ascend? Who shall stand? Those who SEEK.

Once I started seeking God…seeking WHOLEHEARTEDLY…the Spirit washed over me and gently guided me up the hill to my Lord.

This is the generation of them that seek him, that seek thy face, O Jacob.

Psalm 24:6

It was on that climb up Jesus cleansed me. It wasn’t an easy climb either. During that 20 years of circling the hill, the enemy did a number on me. He had me deceived…content, but Jesus was bringing all those lies to light.

He that hath clean hands, and a pure heart; who hath not lifted up his soul unto vanity (a form of pride), nor sworn deceitfully.

Psalm 24:4

It wasn’t long before I found myself surrounded by the presence of the Lord receiving His blessings and so much more…I found my secret place of refuge.

I will never forget that day I heard God’s voice so clearly. I then realized what I had been missing.

I had been missing my Father’s presence.

He shall receive the blessing from the Lord, and righteousness from the God of his salvation.

Psalm 24:5

Are you in the valley of turmoil? or maybe the desert? God is calling you into a season of seeking Him wholeheartedly. He wants you to find Him…His presence.

And ye shall seek me,and find me, when ye shall search for me with all your heart.

Jeremiah 29:13

Recently my friend had a dream. When He shared his dream with me, God our Father showed me a beautiful picture of what it is to seek Him.

This was his dream:

There was a group of people having a meal at a table in a pasture in a field next to a tree line. Everything was lush and green. The table was white and covered with a white table cloth. Some were standing around and talking in conversation, but most were seated at the table eating and conversing. Everyone was dressed in white robes. Then this image ended and another came in. It was a tree about half grown. It was located in the same place as the table had been only just to the left of the exact location.

This is what God revealed to me through His dream:

The people sitting around the table are those that have been rescued from the lies of the enemy. They have found a place of safety to be restored and discipled.

The white table represents our Father, the white table cloth Jesus, and the white robes the Holy Spirit. This is who the people are sitting and conversing with.

Father has graciously redeemed them through this process and is covering them with His righteousness.

The tree lines represents the refuge they’ve found in the Father’s angels that stand guard as they retreat and seek God daily.

Everything is green and lush because they are growing Spiritually…they are in the presence of God the Father each day as they sit at the table with Father, Jesus, and Holy Spirit…seeking wholeheartedly.

It truly is a beautiful thing to be in the Presence of the Lord and to hear His voice…to receive dreams and visions.
