I just wonder how many of us are more concerned about the destination then the journey. It is along the journey that we learn and grow. Even before you get to the destination, there will be small victories along the way.

by Our Words Have Power

When I came across this post on Instagram the Spirit immediately whispered…I’m giving you the faith of a mustard seed.

A few nights ago I was begging God for faith. I was that desperate daughter under a blanket of stars crying out to my Abba Father…desperate for our bills that were stacking up to be paid.

You would think in that moment I’d pray for money to pay our bills, but instead I prayed for faith…the simple faith of a mustard seed to move the mountain that stands between me and my destiny.

Before I even moved to the country I began to ask God to SHOW me His will for my life. I asked for this gift, and God gave it to me…funny thing is, at the time, I didn’t know it was a spiritual gift. I didn’t even know what I was asking for…yet God granted me with this great gift of making His heart known to me.

Follow after charity, and desire spiritual gifts, but rather that ye may prophesy. For he that speaketh in an unknown tongue speaketh not unto men, but unto God: for no man understandeth him; howbeit in the spirit he speaketh mysteries. But he that prophesieth speaketh unto men to edification, and exhortation, and comfort.

1 Corinthians 14:1-3

Like Solomon, God says ask me for a gift, and I will give it.

Not only has God showed me His will for my life, but He has showed me the dreams and plans He has for specific people in His church. People He has been preparing along the way to be His hands and feet…some I have met and some I only know because God has connected us in such a divine way.

God didn’t stop there…He showed me giving His called the funds they needed to go out and father the fatherless, to care for the widows, to liberate the captives…He has showed me a dream so vivid that I’m praying for the gift of faith.

Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you.

Matthew 7:7

So this leads me back to the stars where I was whining to God…Yes! Whining like a little child…God, How?!? How AM I suppose to walk in my destiny if I can’t even pay my own bills, Lord? Please give me the faith to keep moving forward in your will not mine. I believe, but help my unbelief.

I am asking God to give me Hebrews 11 faith.

The next day my husband received a check that not only covered the bills for this month, but next month, too.

I’m learning that faith isn’t just believing in what we can’t see…but it’s also believing in what God has shown us in His word and in our prayer life.

Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.

Hebrews 11:1

Now for the icing on the cake. Not only did God provide our financial needs, but He also provided me with the peace of knowing that I am in His complete will and His dream for me is manifesting.

Not only did we receive the check, but we also had a hay customer purchase 12 decorating hay bales that same day.

I had just gotten out the veggies to dice for dinner when my sweet hubby told me to put those veggies up because he was taking his bride to Jake and Dorothy’s Cafe.

Long story short…there was a desperate waitress that served us at the little cafe. God opened the door for me to give her a hug, whisper a word of encouragement, and bless her with a tip that came from the Father Himself.

It really is all about the journey! It’s during the journey we receive, find, and walk into the door God has opened to be our destination.

Do you know your destiny?

I want to leave you with this word from God. YOU ARE CALLED! Ask. Seek. Knock. He wants to make His heart known to you today. He wants to give you an expected end…a DESTINATION. You aren’t called to exist…you are called to LIVE. He speaks clearly through His word and has gifted you with the Holy Spirit. There is power in asking…Ask God to show you your destiny.

For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end. Then shall ye call on upon me, and ye shall go and pray unto me, and I will hearken unto you. And ye shall seek me, and find me, when ye shall search for me with all your heart.
